The shock of viewing thousands of emaciated bodies and "cadaverous survivors" was so overwhelming that General Dwight D. Eisenhower, commander of the Allied invasion of Europe, insisted that as many American soldiers as possible be taken to the camps to witness the evidence of the atrocities that were perpetrated by the Nazis,”( Jack R. Fischel). We must focus on the action that were taken during this genocide and the effects of it. We should make sure there are no countries that are for persecution of a political group or racial group in order to create a dominate race. The actions that were taken during the holocaust should be an example to everyone of the horrible things that segregation, but not only segregation, but also persecution can lead to. We, the people of the greater world, should never let history repeat itself into a mass genocide as such one as the Holocaust.
