The Cost

The gypsies had to go through a lot during this time period. They were beaten, experimented on, and treated like dirt. Their kind was murderously killed in a mass genocide. They had no rights and no say in how the Nazi’s treated them. Its sad to think that all of the victims of the holocaust were put through that just because of there race. All of the victims had done nothing wrong. Most were just innocent people who were targeted and had no way out. To just think that if they weren’t who they were they would not have been treated they way they were. After the Holocaust, the effects of it made the Gypsies unhappy and feel worthless. The elders were very important to the Gypsy people and since they were all killed, they Gypsies felt that they had nothing left for themselves.
